Those Moments: the first time you heard a Ramone shout “1-2-3-4”; the trumpet on Billie Holliday’s Strange Fruit and the way she holds that final “crop”;  seeing Van Gogh’s Blossoming Almond Tree; when the clouds break over Glen Coe after a storm; being in the Kop when Tony Yeboah let loose that thunderbolt; the opening chords of Smells Like Teen Spirit; staring at Picasso’s Guernica; hearing Kerouac read the closing lines from On The Road over Steve Allen’s piano, “…so in America when the sun goes down and I sit on the old broken-down river pier watching the long, long skies over New Jersey and sense all that raw land that rolls in one unbelievable huge bulge over to the West Coast, and all that road going, and the people dreaming in the immensity of it…”; the first time you see your lover naked; seeing the opening scene from Pulp Fiction at the cinema, that first weekend when everyone expected so much and bam, there it was;  the roar as your team comes out; The Sweeney theme tune; drunk Brando yelling “Stella…”;  seeing Orca’s just off the coast; the Cruyff turn; hearing Warren Ellis ask for bread soldiers with his boiled eggs…
