so that was the weekend that was Glastonbury…saw very little of it to be honest…the BBC did the annual disinterment of Radcliffe-Wiley et al…Katie Perry looked like a strangely animated blancmange…Foo (yawn) Fighters (I mean seriously…file under Nickleback)…Stormzy was quite the man…who else…oh the singer from The National appeared to find the notion of singing in tune to be rather gauche and old hat…so we turned over…Barry Gibb !?…some folkie called Jezza…and of course if you can’t have the Fall doing the ranting over loud noise thing, you can at least have a fall-back option these days…the Sleaford Mods. Splendid. The house (the rather drunken house) was strangely and unexpectedly moved by Liam Gallagher’s a capella Don’t Look Back in Anger. Strange days indeed.
